ADELINDE…
…is the name of the new apron skirt by Jolijou. The epattern will be available Thursday right here at the shop!
The apron will fit the JOELLE dress and is quite cool with jeans. Just let your imagination flow.
Malina and I wanted colour…
… no – A LOT OF colour…
… just folklore
Hard to see, there is a new embroidery design hiding underneath all those appliqués. It’s designed by Andrea, too, and available at HUUPS! on Thursday.
epattern ADELINDE, various embroidery designs by HUUPS! and Kunterbuntdesign, crocheted flowersand ornaments of the ebooks Häkelsommer and Buttonwerkstatt, colourful buttons and velours iron-ons.
IZZY for boyz
Quite a few of you wanted to know if IZZY is suitable for boys too. Nadia proved it:

Unique garland
Well, sometimes you have to BUY something instead of making it yourself
All summer long I wanted to make one for Malina’s room. But I never really found time. Even though the embroidery machine seems to do a garland almost by itself, there is enough work left. Just to chose the right fabrics and colours would have cost me hours.
Good luck….just came across Eva’s post at facebook….clicked at her shop – got it!!!
Perfectly made and the colours and embellishments were just right – well, that’s Eva!
Already at the wall…
… just right there above birdie, doll, crochet deer, Knuffelpferdchen, Kuschelbande-dog and -donkey, LingLingPanda, Franzpicture, Sweeny and Wolfi and Lovechirp
Isn’t just perfect there?? Thank you so much!!!
Now I think I HAVE to make a garland for our living room
Owl labels
Nosy owls instead of dotty deer.
By and by the dotty deer labels you usually get with every pattern will be replaced by the owls. I decided on a two-colour label – brown-turquoise. It will match a lot of fabric colours much better.
The size is appr. 3,5 x 3,5 cm/1.4 x 1.4 inches and will be fabulous for kids and grown-ups, for accessories or bags.
We will even offer the matching star ribbon in brown-turquoise, all available on our next Shop update on September, 2nd. I really hope you like something ‘not so colourful’ from time to time
geocaching again
Cloudy skies in northern Germany so we took our bikes to ride around Wilhelmshaven’s inner harbour and find some caches.
A quite difficult one is hiding there, somewhere around the Veranstaltungszentrum Pumpwerk. Only as big – or rather small - as a fingernail. Called ‘nano’ because it’s so tiny.
It’s a nice place there to have a look at old engines, just play around or have a cup of coffee or tea.
We already tried to find this special cache before not having any luck. That kept bothering us but today Malina finally was successful
Can you find the error hiding in this picture?

Owls galore
With so many owls on the knit jersey there is no need for further embellishing.
But combined and patched with other fabrics will look cool, too

Owls on the sofa!
No, just a fake, done with a image editing program.
… but I wanted to show you the pillow:
I used two pieces of corduroy and a piece of batting, putting them together like a sandwich. Draw several dots and start sewing around them wildly. Then start cutting away the inside of the dots, but only the upper layer. Cut away the batting, too, if you wish, but only around the dots to keep thema little bulky.
The technique is quite similar to the double-decker blanket. I’m sure this would be a cool project for teens, too. I got my inspiration HERE.
Using remnants
Can you believe the trees are already losing some leaves?? It’s cloudy and windy – perfect time to use your fabric remnants
I took the rest of the doubleface jersey I used for the Möff-Sweater. Just enough for a scarf and a cute GRETA bonnet. Both lined with very soft striped jersey. Easily put together with the serger.
For the cute tails cut a few stripes of the jersey, fix them underneath the embroidery and knot the ends. They will roll nicely.

Möff is really chicken-hearted
Why is Möff scared? Again!
Peaceful owls on the back…
…but something is hiding in the bush! …shiver…
But Möff, it’s only the little hedgehog that wants to play with you!
ALL our children loved clothes that told a little story and are still remembering some pieces
They contain exceedingly lots of love and affection, I am sure!
Epattern-Shirt LÄNGSGETEILT made of Doubleface-Jersey and owl ‘Helga’ Jersey designed by Paulapü, Embroidery design by kunterbuntdesign
LÄNGSGETEILT
LÄNGSGETEILT ( means like cut lenghtwise ) is a new epattern by Anja. First designed with boys in mind it’s fitting girls, too, of course. There are no seams at the side but in the middle of the front and back. Another easy to sew shirt pattern.
Dies ist der Vortext:
LÄNGSGETEILT is a shirt pattern – not only boys.
Instead of side seams you find seams lenghtwise on the front and back. This asymmetrical look really accentuates different colour- and fabric mixes and gives a lot of room for embellishing.
Use long or short sleeves, roundneck or hood and you get a shirt for summer or winter.
Use Jersey, velours and light sweat for best results.
For Malina I mixed a lot of jersey remnants even for the cuffs and the hood. I used several different stitches and did a couple of seams left on left.
