simple sewing projects
Beautiful and easy-to-sew projects are shown in this book,

Couch potatoes
Sometimes you have to treat yourself to something nice – when you’re stressed, overworked, sick or just as a little solace.
I don’t want clothes or jewelry etc. – I really indulge in precious softies:
Like revoluzzza‘s beautiful fox lady that already made friends with the new owl:
Owls on the sofa!
No, just a fake, done with a image editing program.
… but I wanted to show you the pillow:
I used two pieces of corduroy and a piece of batting, putting them together like a sandwich. Draw several dots and start sewing around them wildly. Then start cutting away the inside of the dots, but only the upper layer. Cut away the batting, too, if you wish, but only around the dots to keep thema little bulky.
The technique is quite similar to the double-decker blanket. I’m sure this would be a cool project for teens, too. I got my inspiration HERE.
Fabric collection
We are glad to present you a farbenmix fabric collection this fall.
Some of our designers made the most wonderful patterns – soft corduroy, poplin and knits. With the matching uni-coloured fabrics and uni outdoor fabrics in excellent quality.
Since our storage capacities are not big enough the fabrics will be offered by several different merchants and shops. If you are interested in selling our fabrics, please send a mail to kollektion@farbenmix.de – a representative will contact you.
But first have a sneak peek:

One week of crocheting
You have wool remnants?
You like to sit outside in the summer?
But you need something to do while relaxing outside?
Then go get “one week of summer crocheting“ This brandnew ebook by kunterbunteskleeblatt shows you all different kinds of crochet flowers. One for every day of the week.
Look how big they are:
The flowers of the ebook “Häkelblümchen” by Kleine Elfen are much smaller and you can use your last little remnants:
Those big ornaments and little flowers are perfect for embellishing t-shirts or bags, covering holes or stains on shirts and pants – I’m sure you have many more ideas!

Dangling pendants are really nice giveaways. They look nice on a lamp, on a cradle and the little ones have someting to look at:

guest room
Since some of our kids are grown up and already moved out, we now have spare room for guests.
First we had to get rid of a wasps’ nest however – a good occasion to renovate and redecorate.
We kept the old pine beds but I decided to freshen them up with terrific I*EA fabric.
The fleece blankets were to short and I extended them with polka dot fabric. The pillows got a dotty look to and I appliqued different motives of Jolijou’s brandnew epattern.
Do you know anybody with a musical guest room like this?

Epattern available at the shop, matching embroidery designs at HUUPS!
A damsel needs EVERYTHING…
… and EVERYTHING you find in mymakis brandnew book:
“Alles, was Fräulein so braucht”
*Anything a young miss needs*
Well, it’s not IN the book, but a bunch of patterns how to make those things!
The most beautiful index in the whole wide world… sigh…
All the basics for the projects are easy to understand. Even for beginners.
A lot of pictures and cheerful text make the book a lot of fun.
The instrucions are detailed and tested many times.
Included is a tutorial how to make your own appliques.
Patterns, embroidery files and other stuff are on the included CD.
I hope you are as enthusiastic as I am. And myriads of mice are awaiting you on Thursday at farbenmix!
Place mat and coaster
More turquoise
Simple coaster made of felt. The top layer is wool felt, the lower synthetic. In between a ribbon remnant. I used a nice fancy stitch to applique a pretty piece of fabric.
A very easy and quick technique.
These and those placemats are more elaborate. If you need a tutorial look here at sweetcaroline.
