Malina decided on short hair for spring

With so many owls on the knit jersey there is no need for further embellishing.

Some of you wanted to know how to gather the leggings, it’s quite simple:

Just attach the buttonhole backing to a piece of old jeans or just sew a regular buttonhole. Attach the piece on the side of the leggins, let the  piece end at the hem of the leggins. Sew two tunnels, pull the ribbons through and fix them at the hemline. Finish the leggins as usual.

Very cool if you let the jeans pieces fringe at the sides.

Now the matching shirt:

I chose HILDE , cut out an ornament and stitched it on a piece of jeans. Cut out the jeans and fixed it on the shirt with enough room to let it fringe, too. For the elbow patches I used ovals of the same fabric.

Sometimes it contains a coin ( or figurine ) that travels with you to the next hidden cache.

The owl ( design luziapimpinella )  is embroidered and and goes with us geocaching.

Maybe you met that dress at the fabric sale?

Luzie wore a real cool skirt that reminded me of something…but I just couldn’t get it. After the sale we sortet through the clothes and Diba found this dress too expensive and Sabine said that this was the dress Luzies skirt was made of.

Whoah -  can you imagine how fast I grabbed the dress?

last week I found the time to cut off the top and the iron-ons.

After having cut out the zipper I closed the slit and made a broad waist out of elastic knit jersey.

Stitched on the old iron-ons, added Miss LiberT embroidery, ribbons and extended the hem with MissLibert fabric. READY

Since malina loves all kinds of pendants I made a little Miss with glitter dots.

At the fleamarket today…….

…she again made little bargains.

Fabrics with broad stripes are easily made yourself.

For a shirt in size 140/8yrs. I cut knit stripes 15 cm/5.9 inches wide across the whole fabric width.

Stitched them together with a serger, tightened the differential a bit, so topstitching will make a neat flat seam.

I used a contrast colour for topstitching. Ironed my new fabric and cut out the pattern as usual.

I used HILDE – a really nice pattern or boys, too.

This time I used red for topstitching.

Now the seams match the mad red eyes of the wild Bull
