Choose your desired length and cut all pieces adding a sewing allowance.

Transfer the marks onto the fabric.

When using heavier weight fabric we recommend to choose lighter fabric for the waistband and the pockets.

Assembling the back pant

Position the yoke on the mark of the back piece right sides facing each other. Sew.

Press the sewing allowance toward the yoke and topstitch.

Front Pockets

Lay one pocket facing on a front piece, aligning the pocket opening edges.

Sew along the opening edge.

Trim and clip the seam allowance, turn the pocket facing to the inside and topstitsch.

Pin the front-pocket bag piece to the front pocket facing and sew along the dotted line as shown in the picture.

Secure the pocket with a couple of stitches on the front piece.

Sew the pant fronts to the corresponding pant backs along the side seam.

Press the seam allowance toward the back and topstitch.

Back Pockets

Press the seam allowance of the upper edge toward the inside, then fold the facing to the right side. Sew on both edges (view left picture). Clip the corners and fold the facing in. Topstitch as as marked in the right picture.

Press the seam allowance of the back pockets toward the inside.

Postition the back pockets on the marks of the back pieces and sew along the side and bottom of each pocket at 3 mm.

Secure the upper corners with bar tacks.

Crotch Seam

Close the front and back crotch seam.

If needed insert a zipper as shown in this or that tutorial.

If you do not add a zipper make a "faux" fly.

Inseam

Close the inseam in one step right sides facing each other.

Hem the pants. Here a contrasting knit strip was added.

Belt Loops

For the belt loops fold the fabric strips in half lengthwise, then fold the sewing allowance in and edgestitch both edges.

It is also possible to make 3-fold belt loops.

The easiest way for making the belt loops is to sew first and cut the strips later.

Pin the loops to the pants right sides facing down. Cross the loops in the back middle.

Attach the waistband

Pin the waistband right side facing the left side of the pants waistline and sew. Fold the sewing allowance of the short ends toward the right side of the pants.

Fold the waistband up and press the sewing allowance in.

When using light-weight fabric iron a scrap of interfacing onto the waistband to make the area of the button and buttonhole a bit sturdier.

Fold the waistband down and sew to the waistline. Make sure that the first seam (where you attached the waistband) is covered up.

Topstitch the upper edge of the waistband.

Attach a label if desired.

Fold belt loops up and secure with zigzagged bar tacks.

Fold the upper edges of the loops in and also secure with bar tacks.

Insert elastic and secure ends.

Topstitch the front edges of the waistband.
Attach a button and make a buttonhole or add a snap.
Done!
