Cut all pieces adding a sewing allowance.

We recommend using a light-weight fabric for the yoke facing and the pocket facing.

You could also mix prints.

Sew the upper edge of the inner pocket bag to the middle front skirt right sides facing each other.

Trim and ...

... turn the pocket bag inside and topstitch along the opening edge.

Pin the pocket bag to the pocket facing right sides facing each other. Make sure that the sides and the lower edge match.

Sew along the lower edge and secure the pocket on the skirt with a couple of stitches.

If desired, sew the lower edge of the pocket to the skirt using a decorative stitch.

Sew the sides of the skirt to the center piece. Start at the upper edge, mind the marks and catch the pocket sides in the seams.

Press the seam allowance toward the skirt sides and topstitch.

Repeat the steps for the skirt's back pieces.

Pin front and back skirts right sides facing each other and close both side seams. Press the seam allowance toward the front and toptstich.
Sew the sides to the center pieces of the upper skirt. Press the sewing allowance toward the sides and topstitch.

Repeat for the facings. Make sure to press the sewing allowances toward the center pieces.

Close the side seams of the upper skirt as well as the facing of the upper skirt.

When using light-weight or stretchy fabric iron a small scrap of interfacing onto the front yoke where the buttons/buttonholes will be placed later on.

Pin the straps right sides facing each other, sew leaving a short edge open for turing.

When using light-weight or stretchy fabric iron a small scrap of interfacing onto the straps where the buttons/buttonholes will be placed later on.

Trim edges and turn the straps. Press and topstitch.
Pin the open edge of the strap to the upper edge of the back yoke. Secure with a couple of stitches.

Make sure that the straps point down!

Pin the upper skirt to the upper skirt facing right sides facing each other, then sew the upper edge.

Make sure that all corners and seams match and the straps do not get catched in the arm seams.

Trim excessive fabric and corners.

Turn the upper skirt out and topstitch along the upper edge.

Add a second stitchline 1,5 cm away to form a casing. Secure stitches at the beginning and the end.

Insert elastic into one of the casings.

Sew the elastic to one side of the casing with a straight stitch. Cinch the the fabric so that the elastic is about 5 cm long and close the other end of the casing. Trim the excess elastic.

Repeat for the other casing.

Secure the lining of the upper skirt with a couple of stitches within the upper skirt seam allowance.

Pin the upper skirt to the lower skirt and sew.

Make sure that all seams match up!

Press the seam allowance toward the upper skird and topstitch.

Make buttons and buttonholes as desired.

For adjustable strips add two buttons to each strap and place the buttonholes in the bib.

Another possibility is folding the ends of the straps up and topstitching them to the straps. Sew the buttons to the bib and place the buttonholes in the straps.

Done!
