iron-on motifs

Iron-on motifs consist of a highly covering film (velours-, glitter-, holographic- or PU-film) backed with a hot-melt adhesive sitting mounted on a transparent polyester.
They are suited for transferral onto fabric made from cotton, cotton-polyester-blend and natural textiles. Iron-ons also stick to jeans or wool and wool-blends. They are NOT suitable for nylons and water-repelling fabric.
Before embellishing your fabric (cotton or cotton-polyester-blends with a maximum of 20% polyester) wash out all residues of fabric softener and finisher.

What do you need for iron-on motifs?
Iron-on motifs, iron, fabric or finished garment (store-bought or sewn), parchment paper, scissors for cutting motifs (if desired).

Lay your garment on a hard surface (wooden board), place the iron-on motif onto the garment the transparent mount facing up and cover with parchment paper. (The hot-melt adhesive is facing down.)

Iron according to the precise instructions given below.

Let the motif as well as the surface sit and cool down completely. Then remove the transparent mount.

If you plan on adding more motifs repeat the steps.

|
After removing the mount, iron again.
|
 
The iron-on motifs are divided into two different groups:
Group 1
All VELOURS iron-on motifs.
Heat your iron to about 170 °C, press with middle pressure, iron for about 20 seconds,
Then remove the mount and iron again for about 20 seconds directly across the motif (or with delicate fabric use parchment paper).
Gruppe 2
All OTHER iron-on motifs: glitter, holographic or PU-motifs.
Heat your iron to about 170 °C, press with middle pressure, iron for about 20 seconds, use parchment paper. Then remove the mount and iron again for about 10 seconds using parchment paper.
Before washing your garment let it sit for a couple of hours to yield the best bonding results.

Washing instructions:
- Turn your garment inside out.
- Wash by hand or on a gentle cycle at up to 40 °C.
- Use only mild detergent without bleach.
- Do not dry clean.
- Iron from the left only.
