This raglan-style shirt is a perfect fitting basic cut and can be made in 2 different styles.  This garment is excellent in many colors also.

A trendy version for girls is shaped at the waist, has slightly flared sleeves and a rounded hem.  The straight cut version is ideal for boys but can also be used as a sporty shirt for girls.  Both pattern styles can be mixed up between each other, for example the straight cut sleeves can be used with the rounded hem of the front and back pieces.

Short sleeves are also available with this pattern for the summer.

The raglan shirt is available in 2 versions of the pattern layout.  Both versions can be combined between one another, such as the straight cut arm with the rounded hem of the front and back piece, and vice versa.  The garment tends to fit snug and short, so it is very important to wash your Jersey fabric.

For plus-sized kids, who prefer to wear loose fitting clothing or thicker fabrics, we recommend that you use the next size up and shorten the sleeves as needed.

The neckline is also a bit wider than usual.  Therefore, you can alter this to be smaller, if you wish, by adding 1cm (approx. ½”) to all pieces used to construct the neckline (including the sleeves).
